LABYRINTH ARTS AND PERFORMANCE COLLECTIVE PRESENTS A HINT OF RHINO FEST


As part of A Hint of Rhino Fest, hosted by Curious Theatre Branch, PrideArts Theater and Prop Theater, Labyrinth Arts and Performance Collective presents John and Paul: Strictly Platonic, a raucous sketch comedy created by John Klingle and Paul Brennan, and The Labyrinth Hour Cabaret, a musical and variety adventure featuring live music or drag performance with select variety guests.


John and Paul: Strictly Platonic plays Fridays in April (April 1, 8, 15, 22) at PrideArts Theater, 4139 N Broadway, at 8pm. Tickets are $20 or pay-what-you-can.


Each night of the show features various guest performers:


April 1:

Zoë Pike (ukulele songstress), KJ Whitehead (stand-up comedian)


April 8:

Chris Distaste (musical comedy), Boys vs Girls (rapper)


April 15:

Katie Zane (stand-up comedian), Sarah Stevens (stand-up comedian)


April 22:

Abhijeet (drag performer), The McCrystalizor (hula-hoop dancer)


April 29:

Tara Bitchup (drag performer), Lip Lewis (poet)


The Labyrinth Cabaret Hour plays Saturdays in April (April 2, 9, 16, 23) at PrideArts Theater, 4139 N Broadway, at 8 pm. Tickets are $20 or pay-what-you-can. Each night of the show features guest performers:


April 2

Live music band presented by jump blues band Improper Behavior, helmed by vocalist Miss Sharon Waltham, jazz trumpeter Yves Francois, bassist Gregory Redfeairn, drummer Fran Rinaldo, and guitarists Keith Fort and Dwaine Majkrzak. Special guests: hula-hoop dancer The McCrystalizor, song duo by Paul Brennan and Tonika Todorova, hosted by Alley Cat.


April 9

Drag performance lineup showcases performers Tara Bitch Up, Gigi, Narcisca Vanity and Slussy Vanity, and features drag performer Eve the Bunny. Special guest: sketch comedy from Robert Puig, hosted by Alley Cat and Andy Somma.


April 16

A drag lineup showcases a heavy metal song set by Narcisca Vanity, and lighthearted drag dances from Gigi, Slussy Vanity and Tara Bitch Up. Special guest: sketch comedy from Robert Puig, hosted by Alley Cat and Andy Somma.


April 23

Live music presented by jump blues band Improper Behavior, helmed by vocalist Miss Sharon Waltham and jazz trumpeter Yves Francois, bassist Gregory Redfeairn, drummer Fran Rinaldo and guitarists Keith Fort and Dwaine Majkrzak. Special guests: hula-hoop dancer The McCrystalizor, flow arts presented by Alley Cat, song duo by Scott Vehill and Keith Fort, and song duo by Paul Brennan and Tonika Todorova, hosted by Alley Cat and Andy Somma.
